I love anatomy- cutting a body open and looking at the organs, weighing them, seeing what’s wrong with them. I’ve always been interested in rare diseases, like Pica, AIWS, etc. I would like to diagnose and study if there are any cures.
fibromyalgia
It is a disease that is not very common and as far as I know there is no cure but to go through dialisis and then renal transplant and hope that it does not reject that kidney as well… my daughter is 9 and diserves to have a chance at life so there fore I am looking for answers from anyone I can find it at… I don’t want to wait for her to go through this if I can stop it I want to stop it.
Ok maybe I did not make myself clear she is already seeing a speciallist… I am looking into finding someone who might be able to point me towards a clinic or college that has information about this disease because noone here knows anything including the wonderful doctor treating her

Pulmonary hypertension is a rare blood vessel disorder of the lung in which the pressure in the pulmonary artery (the blood vessel that leads from the heart to the lungs) rises above normal levels and may become life threatening. Symptoms of pulmonary hypertension include shortness of breath with minimal exertion, fatigue, chest pain, dizzy spells and fainting.

i need an extremely rare disease for my health science tech. class. it needs to be so rare that i can find just enough info on it to give the bare facts on it and have not to elaborate too much with stuff, such as 200 intresting facts. that would be swell. Thanks.

I once knew a girl who had a very rare disease. As I was told, and from what I remember, it was called GAP Syndrome and it was kind of a combination of 5 or so other diseases. She was bald, and also didn’t have teeth. She had large knots on the back of her neck and scalp. I was told that only about 20 people in the world had the disease, and that nearly all that ever had it only lived to be 8 or 9 years old. I was alos told that she was written about in medical journals and magazines because at the time she was about 15, so this was miraculous. She is now about 30, but I don’t know her to ask what the disease is. Anyone know where I might find information?
