Liver Transplantation for Wolman’s disease?
Wolman disease (also known as Wolman’s disease, Wolman’s syndrome, and acid lipase deficiency) is a rare autosomal recessive lipid storage disease that is usually fatal at a very young age.
Question
Can these infants not be saved with a liver transplant??
Or at least be kept alive on plasmapheresis to remove accumulated cholesteryl esters from the plasma
