Diseases associated with other diseases?
aka.amazing
I have “Hypermobility” (double jointed) I also have a very rare eye disease “Pars Planitis” I have heard that Hypermobility can be associated with other more major diseases! Theirs a little connection between the Hypermobility and Pars Planitis! I have had life long medical issues! I feel like threes something that the Doctors have always overlooked! Im trying to do a little research myself and I cant figure out where to go for information! Any Ideas?
In 15 Days I will be 43

Run a search for “diseases associated with joint hyper-mobility”. I guarantee you’ll get results.
comorbidity means “occurring with”
1. benign hypermotile joint syndrome – no real disease associations
2. Ehler-Danlos syndrome – may have bleeding tendency with minimal trauma, and many other minor abnormalities
3. Marfan syndrome – associated with dislocation of the ocular lenses, myopia, thoracic aortic aneurysms, and valvular heart disease
I’m actually not aware that any of these disorders are associated with uveitis (“part plantis”). So I cannot put those together.
But the three entities above are what you’d be considering – and special attention should be given to monitoring your vision, your heart, and watching for aortic dissecting.
It’s difficult to know what type of specialist would be best to help you, since these syndromes fall outside the usual specialties of internal medicine. I would suggest contacting your local University medical center – perhaps in the pediatric department (even though you are 43). They would know most about so called developmental disorders like Ehler-Danlos and Marfans syndromes – and they should be able to tell you which university doctors might be most knowledgeable about them. That’s the best place to start.
But I do not believe the eye disease , in your case, and the joint hypermobility are connected
