No, I am a bad boy.. I thought it had something to do with Muppet Grover.

Grovers is supposed to gradually fade away, but I have had it for years, but not too badly. The only ointment I have found that gives relief is Xepin, but it might be known under a different name outside the UK.

It is not rare . Just under diognosed. It does occur mainly in men, so that may be why she thinks it’s rare. It usually goes away in under a year and can be treated with cotazone creams and tetracycline. No know cause.

    Grover’s disease
Grover’s disease is a skin condition affecting the chest and back. It is also known as transient acantholytic dermatosis, and occasionally, as persistent acantholytic dermatosis.

It isn’t something I have encountered.

Cause is unknown. First thinking was it was caused by excess exposure to sun, but I have never been one to like the sun. Second theory was something to do with the mercury in dental fillings – but I don’t have any. A further wild theory was that it was hormonal caused by too much sex – I wish!

To reassure you, in most cases it gradually clears, I am the very rare exception.
