Has anyone noticed that the amount of food allergies has increased significantly?

Celiac Disease, lactosintolence… They used to be very rare. I knew someone that knew someone who had celiac (where you cant eat wheat) then, within the last 6 months I’ve meet 4 people that had it. They all just recently got it as well. Not as much as with lactosintollerence (sp?) Still, is there somthing the government shold re regulating.

    Yes, it makes you wonder if it’s the food or what may be added to it that’s causing the problem.

    They have never been very rare. We just know how to look for them now.

    Also, it your post reads like you are confusing lactose intolerance with a dairy allergy. They are not the same. A person with lactose intolerance only has a problem with lactose. Alot of those can take something like Lactaid and go on about their lives. A person with a dairy allergy (like my son) can not just take a pill and eat as they wish. They must carefully avoid milk and ALL it’s proteins. The allergy can be deadly.

    Celiac has to do with glutens.
