How to they gauge their violations on this website?

I answered a question that someone asked saying that they heard that Oprah had some rare disease. I answered saying that I had no clue about Oprah but I knew that Montel had Multiple Sclerosis which he does… he has said so on his show, its on every damn web page which has his bio. He’s such a big advocate for MS…. so what precisely did I do in violation? I’m starting to think these people don’t even look at the answers which were reported.
I did not change the topic she asked if anyone had heard about the disease. I said No I haven’t but I do know that Montel has MS… which I put in because she could have had them confused.
Looks like you didn’t really provide an answer for the question. Instead you changed the topic and provided another completely different answer.

I agree with you. I once got a violation for “chatting”. I didn’t understand that since Y/A gives you an option to “continue this converstation” when another user contacts you via Y/A e-mail. What was I in violation for? Blow it off, and keep answering.
Same here, I answered a question and used the word but, with 2 Ts and they said I was in violation. I responded to their “violation” saying that people use horrible words, yet they are not in violation and their answers are posted. All they said was that they would look into it. Yeah, right. I think they pick an answers at random and say , “Oh, let’s not post this and make it a violation.” It is so stupid. Anyone say the word f.u.c.k. as long as there is a period in between letters and we all know what it is. yahoo needs to take a another look at their so called violations.
Violations can be filed for any reason and validity does not have to be a factor in it.
i could file one against this question and make it stand up, being very specious in my reply complaint.
