Human Diseases Spreading to your dog?

I was wondering if you have a disease of some sort- contagious or something, can that spread to a dog or other animal if you were petting them?

sinus is now common in dogs not sure if it contagious but also diabetes and obesity is getting more common with all the sugar and fats in food

there are some diseases transmissable from dog to humans like scabies, or ringworm but colds and flu generally are not passed between.

There are a few. But they aren’t common. If you google ‘zoonotic’ you will find what viruses / illnesses that you and your dog can pass to each other.

From what I know only skin conditions like ringworm can be transmitted and you can cough all you want in your dogs face and he would be fine.
