You could do the usual presentation, or another idea might be to look at the origins of many diseases that were originally transfered to humans mutating and becoming human diseases:
eg.
horses = common cold
cows = smallpox and Tuberculosis
dogs = measles
birds or pigs = flu
Most of these occured in the distant past (ie, when we moved to farming and humans were now in close contact with animals), some like the flu was more likely in the past 600 years.
I suggest you start your research by doing the research. I hope it turns out well.
