Learning a unit in science called Cello/Systems, what interesting and/or rare human disease do you know?

I’m trying(suppose) to find a disease that it interesting, as in, how could this(depending on the conditions of the disease) happen to our body and stuff like that. So if you could name an interesting disease and the conditions, that would be great. I’ll do the rest of searchs on it, myself.
I have always found Marfan syndrom interesting. Marfans is not really a disease…sorry…but a genetic disorder of the connective tissue. Marfans is one of the reasons some people grow to be the size of giants. The condition not only effects their height but also their heart, ligaments, bones, lungs and eyes.
Another interesting one is Infectios Mononuclesis (Mono). I find this diease interesting because of how tired it makes your body and how long it takes to recover. Mono is also called the “kissing disease” since it is most often passed through saliva. This disease seems to peak in the teenage years.
