rare eye disease called karataconus, cant do infantry?

well i was enlisting to be an infantryman in the army, but i couldnt pass my eye exam. im not color blind but this disease i just found out i have makes me have astigmatism out the ass and my glasses are helping but not really. i have to get hard contact lenses, but im not sure if that allowed 4 infantry. i would talk to my recruiter but i dont want to go through all that crap again if i cant do it. thanks for who ever answers this. any grunts welcome to this question.
im sorry i dont have an answer for you but i just found out i has this also, and the hard contacts suck so bad i cant stand them, and i dont know what to do!!
