I’m pregnant and my daughter tested positive for Tay Sachs disease and I’m not sure what to do. My little sister was tested positive for Tay Sachs and my mother decided to carry her to term but for some reason she never began to show the symptoms of it as a small child like everyone expected. She’s 16 now and very bright and seems perfectly normal. The doctors think the symptoms will probably start up eventually though as late onset. But this is very rare and most of the time a child who tests positive for the disease gets the symptoms eary and dies by age five. I’m not sure what to do about my baby, I love her but I don’t want to see her die a horrible death.

knowing that i cant live very long like others ,so now when i went for the recent checkup ,the doctors estimates that i have a 2 or 3 months of my life left with me, so what i wanna ask is any suggestions on how to enjoy the rest of my days cuz obvi iam in a terrible state but i knew that this day was comming ,so i wana die happily!

(bradon adam) will not live. The doctor said i have a rare disease and that baby three mght not live.When my two babys that will live get old enough how do i tell them that there brother died. I am not saying that he will die i still have hope but just incase . Please help I am very worried i have a doctors appointment tommorrow when my my husband comes home. HELP

hi, i have a have a friend who just gave birth to a baby boy and hes been hospitalized since he was 3 weeks old! His stomach has some kind of yellow fluid in it so the doctors have to take out the fluid everytime his stomach ”puffs” up and the doctors say his liver is enlarged. His white and red blood cells are very low. they also say that what he has is very, very rare (and its now affecting his kidneys!!) and that every year only a few babies get it. does anyone have a clue what it could be??

Help with Angina

At the beginning of this school year my math teacher was having problems speaking and he had many doctors visits…now the years almost over and one of my friends asked him “What happened at your dr.s appt, did u find out anything new?” and my math teacher just said “thanks for asking but thats my business and i dont feel like sharing it with you guys” and now i found out he has lou gehrigs disease, how terrible right? his wife is 8.5 months pregnant and he can barely speak. i also no a man, my exbfs dad who was diagnosed with lou gherigs disease my exbf was devastated. a boy hu is a junior in highschool now, that i was once good friends with who suffers from the same disease. how likely is it that me an 8th grade girl knows three people with that “SUPER rare” disease?

Angina and Diet

I have this really rare disease called bialers disease (pretty sure thats how its spelled) and even though I go to a camp for kids with ostomy bags every year, with hundreds of kids, none of them have it. My ostomy holds bial, when the usually hold poop or pee. My doctors even tell me that they have never heard of anyone else w/ it, and I go to a huge world-wide known hospital. So I was just wondering if anyone else has it?

Help with Angina

Ok, I don’t remember too many details on it. I remember back when I was a sophomore in high school, a teacher in Honors Biology described what is probably the worst virus or disease ever. For one thing, it’s fatal (wouldn’t be the worst virus ever if it wasn’t, right?) For another thing, it’s incurrable. If you get this, the only thing doctors can do for you is give you morphine and stuff to ease the pain until you die.

If I remember correctly, it first enters the blood stream. From there, it affects cells in the blood stream, and moves on to organs throughout the body. Then it attacks the organs, causing them to eventually shut down. Then I believe it actually starts to ‘eat away’ at the organs? Or something like that…after a few weeks, the end result I heard is that the body almost completely dissolves cuz it literally eats away at everything. Of course by this time you’re dead.

It is extremely rare and had a weird name, I can’t remember it. But I think it is a virus that exists only in Africa I think. Or maybe tropical places. But it is definetely NOT common. Anybody know what it is?

A rare disease is gradually causing me to become female and everyone thinks I am doing it on purpose.
But I ENJOYED being a tough guy!
I tried testosterone, etc, but nothing works. The doctors are stumped!

my friend said she got some disease because her skin started turning all white and blotchy in some spots and then she said she went to the doctors and it was some rare disease where she lacked a certain type of protein and it was uncurable and she had a month to live…
