Among these diseases, battens disease is one of a dreadful disease which can attack any one. The battens disease is a disease caused by the inherited disorder of the nervous system of a person which is visible from the childhood of the person. It is also known as the Neuronal Ceroid Lipofuscinoses (NCL). There are several types of NCL and the batten disease is the primary condition of the disease.

The symptoms of the battens disease is that it begins to appear in the childhood in the form of sort of eye problems in children. Because of this disease, the children face problems in seeing or this disease occurs in other form by making the child unfit for various intervals. There are some other cases found in which the signs of the disease are not completely shown. Thus the signs of this disease are not clearly seen. In some cases, it is found that this disease lead to the change in the personality or change in the behavior of the child thereby making the child completely disable. This disease can even lead to the death of the child.

The NCL is divided into four categories. The four categories of the batten disease are Infantile NCL, Late infantile NCL, Juvenile NCL and the fourth is the Adult NCL. The symptoms of all four main categories are same but they begin to show the symptoms in different ages and the progress rate of the batten disease or the NCL is also different in each category. It is a normal thinking that the batten disease is a rare disease but it can attack more than one person in the family. It is commonly seen in the northern European countries, Finland, Sweden and Canada.

The early symptoms of the battens disease are mostly not predictable by the doctors because each affected person have different symptoms for example Decline in cognitive function, abnormal body movements, Loss of communication skills etc. There are several tests suggested by the doctors to confirm that the person is affected by the batten disease or not for example the prenatal test, prenatal and pre-genetic embryo tests etc. now-a-days the scientists are trying their best to discover the medicines and treatment for the batten disease

I’m pregnant and my daughter tested positive for Tay Sachs disease and I’m not sure what to do. My little sister was tested positive for Tay Sachs and my mother decided to carry her to term but for some reason she never began to show the symptoms of it as a small child like everyone expected. She’s 16 now and very bright and seems perfectly normal. The doctors think the symptoms will probably start up eventually though as late onset. But this is very rare and most of the time a child who tests positive for the disease gets the symptoms eary and dies by age five. What do i tell my triplets if the third baby
(bradon adam) will not live. The doctor said i have a rare disease and that baby three mght not live.When my two babys that will live get old enough how do i tell them that there brother died. I am not saying that he will die i still have hope but just incase . Please help I am very worried i have a doctors appointment tommorrow when my my husband comes home. HELP
