hi, i have a have a friend who just gave birth to a baby boy and hes been hospitalized since he was 3 weeks old! His stomach has some kind of yellow fluid in it so the doctors have to take out the fluid everytime his stomach ”puffs” up and the doctors say his liver is enlarged. His white and red blood cells are very low. they also say that what he has is very, very rare (and its now affecting his kidneys!!) and that every year only a few babies get it. does anyone have a clue what it could be??

At the beginning of this school year my math teacher was having problems speaking and he had many doctors visits…now the years almost over and one of my friends asked him “What happened at your dr.s appt, did u find out anything new?” and my math teacher just said “thanks for asking but thats my business and i dont feel like sharing it with you guys” and now i found out he has lou gehrigs disease, how terrible right? his wife is 8.5 months pregnant and he can barely speak. i also no a man, my exbfs dad who was diagnosed with lou gherigs disease my exbf was devastated. a boy hu is a junior in highschool now, that i was once good friends with who suffers from the same disease. how likely is it that me an 8th grade girl knows three people with that “SUPER rare” disease?

Angina and Diet

I have this really rare disease called bialers disease (pretty sure thats how its spelled) and even though I go to a camp for kids with ostomy bags every year, with hundreds of kids, none of them have it. My ostomy holds bial, when the usually hold poop or pee. My doctors even tell me that they have never heard of anyone else w/ it, and I go to a huge world-wide known hospital. So I was just wondering if anyone else has it?

Ok, I don’t remember too many details on it. I remember back when I was a sophomore in high school, a teacher in Honors Biology described what is probably the worst virus or disease ever. For one thing, it’s fatal (wouldn’t be the worst virus ever if it wasn’t, right?) For another thing, it’s incurrable. If you get this, the only thing doctors can do for you is give you morphine and stuff to ease the pain until you die.

If I remember correctly, it first enters the blood stream. From there, it affects cells in the blood stream, and moves on to organs throughout the body. Then it attacks the organs, causing them to eventually shut down. Then I believe it actually starts to ‘eat away’ at the organs? Or something like that…after a few weeks, the end result I heard is that the body almost completely dissolves cuz it literally eats away at everything. Of course by this time you’re dead.

It is extremely rare and had a weird name, I can’t remember it. But I think it is a virus that exists only in Africa I think. Or maybe tropical places. But it is definetely NOT common. Anybody know what it is?

I had surgery 2 months ago. I met my surgeon once before the surgery and didnt see him again until last week. I had spoken with his PA a few times. When I met with the surgeon the other day I was made aware that the PA had pretty much lied to me about having a very rare disease. I’m not too happy. He also told me I had to damage to my ligaments which wasnt true. And then I ordered a copy of my medical records and I found out that they STILL aren’t telling me everything. I’m not quite sure how to handle this situation. I need this doctor as he is one of only 2 doctors in my state that deal with my disease.

I have “Hypermobility” (double jointed) I also have a very rare eye disease “Pars Planitis” I have heard that Hypermobility can be associated with other more major diseases!
