Hi, I’m writing this for a friend of mine who is still without electricity after a storm this week. Her female cat was losing weight, lethargic, and just not herself. My friend took the cat to the vet, and the vet did blood work on the cat. He called her today and told her that the cat has corona disease, and that it’s very rare in cats. He didn’t tell her what he was going to do to treat the cat. I looked on Google for information but there is a lot of conflicting information on this. Some say it is really bad, some say there’s nothing to it. Some call it a virus. Can anyone tell me what corona disease in a cat is, how it’s treated, and how bad it is so I can pass it on to my friend? Thanks so much.
The vet also said that she had elevated liver enzymes.
