There is a rare disease called acatalasia, first discovered in Japan, in which people lack the ability to make catalase. Many of these people appear normal with virtually no symptoms. If someone with acatalasia had a cut and they washed it out with hydrogen peroxide, what would happen?
A thought occured to me…if people get treated for depression, are there any cases (surely rare) that someone is too euphoric and needs treated? Is there a name for that disease?
i saw a television show with a famous “elf”? that had regular sized teeth even though the rest of her body looked like a doll’s. i believe it is a rare disease and most do not survive past childhood. does anyone know what the name of this disease is?
At the beginning of this school year my math teacher was having problems speaking and he had many doctors visits…now the years almost over and one of my friends asked him “What happened at your dr.s appt, did u find out anything new?” and my math teacher just said “thanks for asking but thats my business and i dont feel like sharing it with you guys” and now i found out he has lou gehrigs disease, how terrible right? his wife is 8.5 months pregnant and he can barely speak. i also no a man, my exbfs dad who was diagnosed with lou gherigs disease my exbf was devastated. a boy hu is a junior in highschool now, that i was once good friends with who suffers from the same disease. how likely is it that me an 8th grade girl knows three people with that “SUPER rare” disease?
I answered a question that someone asked saying that they heard that Oprah had some rare disease. I answered saying that I had no clue about Oprah but I knew that Montel had Multiple Sclerosis which he does… he has said so on his show, its on every damn web page which has his bio. He’s such a big advocate for MS…. so what precisely did I do in violation? I’m starting to think these people don’t even look at the answers which were reported.
I did not change the topic she asked if anyone had heard about the disease. I said No I haven’t but I do know that Montel has MS… which I put in because she could have had them confused.
The degredation of the mind due to Alzheimer’s disease proves that the mind and, resultantly, the human consciousness are both transient things.
Does this prove that most preconceived notions of an afterlife are fundamentally flawed? Most people believe that we will be able to perceive, evaluate and understand any kind of afterlife that may exist.
But clearly, as Alzheimers proves, the mind cannot possibly survive without a functioning human body. It is a possibility that a kind of eternal soul lives on, but, surely, if the consciousness dies then the thing that makes you an individual, self-aware human will cease also.
Opinions?
(a)at least 10 survive
(b)from 3 to 8 survive
(c)exactly 5 survive
With the possibility of acquiring diseases such as ecoli, do some folks still take this risk when they go out to eat? Just curious. Mooooooooooooo…hahaha.
