Whats a good substitute for protein?

rare disease
Stacy C

I want to bulk up in my legs but can’t eat much protein. I have a rare disease that I must stay on a low protein diet. Is there something else I can take?

Eat vegetables and tofu. If you can, eat meat too. also, fish oil ills and amino acids help with protein. Dont forget about eating nuts too!!

um, steriods? muscle is made of protien, so besides steriods, crealkalyene, or any other suplements at gnc, your pretty much up a creek but your body will produce muscle not directly from protien sources, just really slowly, does your diet permit upping carb calories? talk to a dietitian

If you have a rare disease that limits the amount of protein that you can eat, than you really need to ask your Doctor this question. All people here will tell you is to eat things that have protein and you can’t do that. Your doctor or a nutritionist will know.
