Will guinea pigs transmit diseases to human beings?

I really need help in these. I feel a little itchy whenever i carry them/have contact with them, and also since i’ve sensitive nose, it will be a little runny, since i have guinea pigs. So can guinea pigs transmit diseases to human beings??
